ok, it came on cartoon network late at night. it was this little owl and he wanted to sing, but his dad wouldn't let him. so he got in this contest and the song went "i love to singa about the moona and the june-a and the spring-a"

I do. It's on the old Bugs Bunny cartoon lineup. There are about 7 little owls, and all the others sing opera or classical, and this little guy wants to sing jazz. Dad kicks him out of the house, and he goes out into the world and wins a talent contest with his jazz singing. Mom an Dad hear him on the radio, and all is AOK again!

It's called "I Love to Singa". It was a Tex Avery cartoon from 1936. I remember it, and remember laughing at it.
