I'm sick to death of certain individuals who are full of themselves, trying to blow out other people's candles to make theirs look brighter. I need a good way to humble them and show them, once and for all, that they are NOT all that and a bag of chips.\

10 points for the most useful idea.

Wear a mirror around your neck and if they ask say, "I figured it was the only way I could hold your attention."

Be patient and ignore them, you will live longer.

BUT if you must take some action. Gather a few of your trusted friends and use lots of acronyms in the arrogant person's presence and laughter loudly in front of him.

That guy will be at a loss and there is no way for the person to rebut, especially if you say, "and which fool don't know the meaning of DAMWISF!" Everyone burst out in laughter somemore. Something like that.

BTW: "DAMWISF" means "Don't Ask Me What It Stands For".

True story... A friend of mine was at a bar trying to have normal conversation with a couple of girls that he met. There were two other guys trying to get into the conversation and one of them was very arrogant and turning off the women. He kept talking about how good his job was and how good his car was and how nice his house was and on and on. My buddy interrupted him and said, "Yeah but I have a 10 inch penis!" The two guys ended up walking away. I guess they were trying to make up for where thry were lacking.

Personally, it's hard to ignore them, but I try to. Usually they are very miserable people and they feel like they have to put someone else down or make someone else feel bad just so that they feel good about themselves. What goes around, comes around......and you reap what you sew. One way or another, they will be repaid for treating people so badly.

Be right and able to prove it.

Keep in mind that if it's a difference of opinion, opinion is never right or wrong, and trying to prove yours is better than someone else's makes you the arrogant twit.

If you can't prove that you're right, you need to rethink your position.

I love people like this... confront them with the truth.... " do you really feel that low and is your self worth so non existant that you have to put others down just to make yourself feel better?" Lets face it the main reason to put someone else down is so we feel better .... misery likes company.
