you are exactly right. too bad 90% of people don't realize this. let's not even talk about the people that hate kobe bryant by default and can't even name a legit reason as to why they hate him...
people have to realize...there are lots of ballhogs in the nba. if you look at the playoffs, lebron, arenas, vince carter all took more shots per game. carmelo and d-wade weren't far behind either. in the regular season, lebron and AI were right behind kobe in shot attempts. but at least lebron had gooden, ilgauskas, murray (who made some big shots)....AI had webber, korver, AI2....kobe has lamar who was really inconsistent. people need to get off kobe's back!

You're out of your mind or obviously don't follow the NBA. Take your pick. Kobe Bryant does exactly what he thinks it takes for his team to win, being that being more agressive offensively, or dishing assists out of double-teams. Lamar Odom can shoot as good as any post player in the league. The Lakers are just about to explode with young talent especially in the post... Kwame Brown, Andrew Bynum, Ronny Turiaf, Chris Mihm, Luke Walton, Smush Parker, Sasha Vujacic, and whoever they draft in the first round...Plus Kobe&Lamar STILL haven't reached their full potiential.

kobe bryant has the right to be a ball hog, he is good and lamar cant shoot, +phil jackson allows him too. another thing is wen he passed too much on game 7 of the series with suns they lost badly, he shouldve taken into his own hands and beat the suns. when kobe and phil think kwame and lamar are ready they will pass the ball more

Kobe Bryant does have a right to ball hog because if he didnt ball hog they wouldnt have even gone to the playoffs.

lamar cant shoot but he can post up or drive the ball so kobe has no reason to hog the ball. aside from that, basketball is a TEAM game

I do not think any one has the right to ball hog. The other players cannot get any better if they never get a chance to play. Basketball is supposed to be a team sport. Not an individual one.

I think that Kobe will never win anything again because he should take a clue from Shaq and realize that he cant win championships alone. Either pass and trust your team, or get some players in there that you can trust and pass to.

Yeah he has the right to... but that doesn't mean people around him should particularly like him. Think about it, once your contract is up with the Lakers they let you go and no one wants you because you didn't do anything but watch Kobe in your time in LA.
Besides, I think the Western Conference is too competetive for him to be able to take them to the finals all by himself.
