It has been a disaster.

What has happened is: a lot of schools have been trying to push out the problem kids because they need their success rate to increase. My nephew went through this and ended up dropping out as soon as he turned 16.

... I've talked to several different teachers over the past few years that the program has been in effect... they all hate it...

I am in the South, so it may be some sort of regional bias... I don't know... but I always think that you can tell how good a program is, by talking to the people on the front line...

but don't take my word for it... go talk to a few teachers at different levels... see what they think... I would be surprised if more than 10 percent gave you favorable answers...

Absolutely, it is too bad that the doubly elected president Bush had to pay someone to show the achievements of this bold yet wonderful program since the liberal media is absolutely and irrationally ANTI-BUSH and ANTI-AMERICAN.
In the long run it well definitely improve the American public education experience.

its good to think that no child would be left behind but I have friends in the school system that say many students get "pushed" through to meet the requirement. Going as far as to creat programs that allow thse who just don't get it to get something else so that they can pass. Sure it gets the children through school but does it really teach them the things they need to know?

No, the act requers schools to meet standers, and if they fail, shut down, and fund private programs to help student. The act dosen't tka into account improvents or cercustances of the school, and it doesn't provide any funds to schools to aid in getting scores up to passing, just demands and treats.

Terrible idea. All it does it teach teachers to teach their students to pass the tests. No real-world, relevant learning takes place. It will eventually be found to be a total failure.

I dont like the idea. Let the kids fail and get left behind. They only deserve it.

Apparently not if that's the grammer you're learning. Mister Truth, you should take another pass at English too.
