At what point does someone accept the consequences of a decision they have made, and stop trying to do things to alter the consequences of bad choices?
I do not mean to offend anybody, I just would like to hear your view on this issue. I asked a similar question earlier and everyone freaked out.

Rape is not a decision I agree Moonshadow. That's why I specifically said decision. And men raising their loer body parts I agree 100%, but women accept this body part. And finally, men who abandon their children are not men, but a**holes.
Are you saying it is better to be dead than fatherless?

You can't ask this question about someone, it has to be asked about Someone.

it isn't always a choice that has been made. women are raped. nor are the girls always old enough to have to accept such a consequence.

it takes two to have sex, but in this day and age, it only requires the mother to raise the child.

maybe you should consider asking this question to the men that have deserted their children and the mothers of their children.

perhaps if girls and women knew the men would take the raising of the children as seriously as they took the raising of their lower body parts, we would be more inclined to accept the shared responsibility.

I personally think that it is better to be dead than be an unwanted child. Having been an unwanted child, I can assure you there is no great satisfaction or joy from living as the consequence of a poor decision.

Furthermore, Pro-Choice is about Choice. It's about making a logical decision about the future of not only the mother's life, but also of the child and possibly the father, grandparents, etc. Being a choice, it does not mean that it automatically leads to abortion. More often than not, the choice is to carry and deliver the child. This is a Pro-Choice nation by law - look at the number of abortions vs the number of births. Abortion is the exception. Pro-Life is about forcing emotional, often times religious beliefs on others. Pro-Life does not take into account any of the gray areas, including rape, incest, and being a dumb kid that screwed up and cannot possibly care for an infant. Nor does it take the best interest of the child into consideration - some people should just not be parents. Pro-Life is absolute control without consideration. Additionally, when abortion is illegal, abortion does not go away. It just goes underground and becomes less safe for the mother and I'm sure more cruel to the fetus.

When they realize the "mistake" is a baby and not a "bundle of cells!"
