I want to move there and find work, last time I went to Baton Rouge and couldn't face seeing what New Orleans was like at the time. I live in another country but New Orleans is my favourite place in the world, and I want to go back.

In the city some areas are close to 100% like uptown but not one area is 100% and housing is expensive. Metairie, the West bank, and the northshore are all back to normal except for the increased traffic, crime and rent.

Uptown is the most back to normal. I think Walmart or Winn Dixie on Tchouptoulas opened back up. The lines are always long.

You can read the news on www.nola.com if you aren't already and get a sense of what's going on. Check out www.craigslist.org for housing and such. It will be a long time before it is normal like you are probably used too.
