You would need a support network. Tell as many people as you can that someone is bullying you and you need help. Name the bully. If you are a kid tell as many adults as possible. ONe adult may do nothing. Name the bully. A bully is generally a coward and will be afraid of a group of people that confront him or her and tell them in no uncertain terms that they will not be tolerated. Don't go anywhere alone and make a friend that doesn';t take crap and is larger and stronger than the bully. Take a digital camara photo of the person or persons ...like a mug shot and hang it up all over school or work and it should say on it ...Danger if you see this Bully ..Do not approach. Or wanted Bully...Do not approach Danerous bully. If a bully is know to the community and suffers public humiliation then they have too many witnesses to carry on with their sadistic ritual of bullying other , weaker individuals who have done nothing wrong, and don't deserve this kind of treatment and it has been proven that the individual that is being bullied is usually a more intelligent or in some way superior individual. Arm yourself with knowledge. There is an infinite amount of literature in the library on the psychology of bullying. Know your adversary. Take martial arts . Be very very confident and don't let your weakness show externally but be brave. When you talk to the bully talk in a loud firm confident voice and show no fear. Remember a bully is the ultimate coward. Good luck

My parents always told me that if someone was to throw a punch at me at school and I didn't swing back, I'd get another butt-whooping when I got home. Schools today are horrible when it comes to bullies. I was the victim of a few bullies in my middle school years. I have never been confrontational and have never been in a fight (I've ALMOST been in a couple, but never actually been in one). I would always walk away from whoever was harrassing me, being the bigger person. Of course that led to more bullying: being called names because I was "scared" to fight. When it came time for high school, most of my bullies went to different schools. A few were at my school but there were so many different classes and people that no one really had time to bully anyone else. Just tell him not to worry about his bullies and to walk away when he's getting harrassed. In my bullying days, my mom had an idea we never went through with (money difficulties at the time): go out and get your son a small tape recorder that he can fit easily into his pocket with out it being noticed. Discuss the situation with his teacher(s) so they won't punish him for having electronics in school. Make sure the tape has enough time on it to last an entire school day. Tell your son that when his bullies come up to him he should say their names, making sure they acknowledge him. When they begin their harrassment, their threats and names will be caught on tape. Take the tape to the principal of the school and let him/her hear it. If they do nothing, go to the school board. If the school board does nothing, take your son out of that school district. It will be better for him in the long run.

You should tell some one
BUT then you'll be labled a GRASS and get it even more.
In this day and age if your bullied no one wahts to know especally TEACHERS its less paper work for them.
Take a self-defens calss and let it be know that you are and why
Let every one know that you will defend your self in need be but only as a last resort and WARN THE BULLIE FIRST EVRY ONE CAN HEAR LOUD AND CLAER

Stand up to the bully. You must make a stand. Don't let anyone push you around. That's doesn't mean get in a fight. It just means hold your position, and let them know you are not going to be bullied.

Ok first of all if its at school stand up to the creep!!! If he is bigger than you still stand up to him who cares if he whoops your butt its better to have a pain a little while rather than a life time of mental trama. Grow some balls look the person right in the eye and yell BACK OFF!!! As loud as you can if he doesn't then simply smile and give them a nice boot right in the crotch.

Confront the bully when they least expect it, and give them a dose of what they've been giving you. Most bullies are cowards when confronted.

If it's someone that's punching you or something like that I would say tell a teacher or a parent but if it's just someone calling you names the best you can do is ignore them trust me it works.
