Spears gets a lot of money and fame(!) for that. And Harpers also will be able to improve their circulation. It is only the readers - who waste their money in such things - who are to be pitied.

Spears lost her way somewhere. She used to be on top of the entertainment world, even after she slutted out her image. I think Federline was the beginning of the end. He brought out a "white trash" element in her. His image was totally unappealing to EVERYONE, and her association with him brought her down. She gained weight, began to take less care of her appearance, and capped it all off with the horrible Matt Lauer interview. The nude photos are part of her new "identity crisis" phase.
Here's how it will end: She'll get rid of Federline, trim up, get her hair back to its natural state, and then come back with a "renaissance" sort of album two or three years later which will re-endear herself to the American public. It will be a more mature Spears - she'll show the world that she's learned a lesson or two, and she'll pull in some older fans. Folks will begin to look at her in the "elder stateswoman" category of pop divas, along with Whitney, Mariah, and Celine Dion. But the key to all this is dumping Federline...he is the primary cause of her downfall, and him leaving is the only possible catalyst for her renaissance. She has to cast herself as an independent, mature, survivor to regain her fans.

Looks great - but is totally airbrushed. No woman who got pregnant 5 months after having her first baby looks like that.

She isn't fat she's pregnant. And either way she turns she's always getting criticized. The photos are beautiful and she's embracing her pregnancy. Some people should cut her some slack.
