What is a powder-actuated nailer and do I need one to nail a bottom plate for a wall to my foundation?

Thanks MC. I just found out you could do it by hand I heard it's a pain in the *** though. I might just rent one.

It's a nail gun that uses .22 cal shells to fire the nail into concrete or steel.. You can use one or get cut nails and drive them by hand..
