Probably. Most babies either walk or talk first, although some do both at the same time.
Every baby is individual. Walking and talking *both* start around the first birthday. Some babies will do both at almost exactly the same time. Some will do one very early and the other late. And some will be either early or late with *both*.
It depends on learning style and personal preferences. Some babies are just anxious to either walk or talk. They concentrate on that one and not the other. But my oldest was a perfectionist. He walked *and* talked late, but he didn't take a "first step"--he started by walking across the room. And he didn't have a "first word" so much as starting talking in sentences.

it depends on the child - but most babies will start to say a few words first, then walk around a year (some a little sooner, some a little later) - conversational talking though won't come until much after a baby starts to walk

Depends on the baby. My two year old walked first. My ten month old who is not walking is talking.

Most babies talk. My parents told me both my brother and I talked before we could walk. Walking requires balance, which we must obtain over a few months. Talking requires making sounds out of your mouth, which is pretty easy, and babies pick it up sometimes several weeks after birth.
Walking takes maybe ten months
Talking for some advanced babies takes maybe 2 months.

It depends on the baby. Mine started walking very well at 9 months, but he barely spoke a word.
