I absolutely cannot bear an unhappy or ambiguous end to a story and I think that's really weird.

God, I watched Titanic on Saturday too. It will my last time. TOO SAD. It's like the only movie EVER that has made me cry. For the book,definitely the Boy In The Striped Pajamas. It was a fantastic book but the ending kept me thinking about it for days. EDIT: I just realised these two movies and books were already mentioned, but I swear I thought of the question, not after I scrolled down.

yes i agree! Except i love Lurlene McDaniel's books even though there are a lot of deathes and illnesses! I don't like unhappy endings! Liek the end of the second sisterhood of the traveling pants! OMG! I was like miserable!

No because not everything has a happy ending. Its sad but you have to face it. Like if someone you love a lot dies... everybody dies. So I dont care whether its happy or sad. As long as it entertaining.

No. I like realism in my movies and books, I find other ways to escape reality. However, I think many people feel the same way that you do. I always hear, "I didn't like that book or movie, too depressing".
