If your ex goes in to the department that handles child support and tells them that you pay directly to her and that she does not want the states assistance in collecting, they will usually stop the collection of child support. I have seen that work many a time. Good luck. Of course, if she won't do that, you can go in and request a review since they are living with you. Your ex might prefer option one, it's easier and doesn't have as much of a chance of knocking down what she's entitled to.

Contact your county child support agency and tell them the situation...also is your ex-wife in agreement with this arrangement?
