I think they're mean to each other to mask their true feelings they have for each other. It seems like people started "really" dating in the sixth Harry Potter book, so we'll see how it turns out. Hermione was mad when Ron didn't ask her out to the Yule Ball first so I think Hermione has a crush on Ron that's dwindled a little, but when Ron tried to ask Hermione out, and she said no, how he acted in response shows his dismay that he couldn't go out with Hermione to the Yule Ball...When Hermione goes with Victor Krum to the Yule Ball, I think she has strong feelings for him that've dwindled a lot and now they're probably just really good long-distance friends.

i do not understand who's perfect for an additional, besides the undeniable fact that it style of feels to me that the relationships are set up so as that the significant personality would not finally end up with the lady personality. it really is a twin of in superstar Wars: Leia, who become probably meant to be seen as a love pastime for Luke in Episode 4 and 5, finally ends up with Han Solo (the sidekick, even besides the undeniable fact that he's extra memorable than Luke) in Episode 6 and they clarify away Luke and Leia as being siblings. Ron is an same as Han, Hermoine is like Leia, and Harry is evidently Luke.

Me! It's perfect for the story line the way it's going. You can tell (especially in the movies) that they both have some sort of feelings for each other but are too shy to tell each other. It would be great!

Of course they will wind up together. The tension has been building for several books now. I hope they don't wind up DEAD together, though.

yes, they already are together, but i have my money on this: one of them will die in the next book! Rowling's already said two main characters die.
