I think Naruto's the strongest.

He beat Gaara when they fought.

The Shukaku (Ichibi) has been extracted on Gaara, so he weakened.

Before Sasuke left Konoha, he fought Naruto because he became jealous of him because he sees that Naruto's becoming stronger than him, so he challenged Naruto in a battle. None of the win, because Kakashi intervened, but seeing what Naruto did to the water tank, he became more jealous.

Currently in the manga, Naruto is on a training, that might surpass Kakashi, to become even stronger than Sasuke and to save him.

It depends on the situation. In general, since the show is named "Naruto" and not "Sasuke" or "Gaara", then Naruto would naturally be the strongest. His Kyuubi is amazing, and his inner strength is incomparable. No one in the show, not even Sasuke, had Naruto's resolve, which we clearly see when he goes up against Gaara and beats him.

However, we have to remember that Sasuke did defeat Naruto at the waterfall, with the help of Orochimaru's seal. Of course, we could say that Sasuke has an unfair advantage in having both the cursed seal and a Bloodline Limit, but then again, isn't it a bit unfair that Naruto has a demon with nearly limitless chakra inside him? In general though, Naruto is still more powerful than Sasuke is. Sasuke only gained the power to defeat Naruto due to his own avarice and thirst for vengeance.

As for Gaara, Naruto soundly beat him during the Chuunin exams. There was no doubt that despite Shukaku, Gaara couldn't overcome Naruto (probably because he was mentally unstable). But if Naruto were to challenge Gaara on his home turf, especially after the two year skip in the manga, Naruto would probably die. In a fair match in the desert, there is very little chance that anyone could beat Gaara.

The situation varies...but in general, Naruto is the strongest.

Well....Sasuke and Naruto kicked Gaara's @$$, and Sasuke kicked Naruto's @$$ (in the beginning of the anime show)and Naruto kicked Sasuke's @$$. I think that Sasuke and Naruto are pretty much equal.

in manga right i would have to say Sasuke is strongest but at one point they all were the strongest i would have to say that at the start of the chunin i would say that Gaara was the strongest but alittle after the exams ended sasuke and naruto were stronger than gaara i think and then after getting Tsunade Naruto is stronger but after getting the level 2 curse seal sasuke got stronger again and after training with Orochimaru Sasuke is stronger than them

So far in where im where sauka is way way strong.He even beat the nine tail fox demon inside naruto whitout even droping a sweat!!!!!!!!! But naruto suppose to learn this nen moves that only he can do !!! If im ranking it would be like this. Sauka1than naruto second than last garra. But naruto will become stronger than Sauska.

As long as Naruto taps into the Kyuubi's chakra, i'd say he's the strongest.

But in light of recent [manga] events, i would have to say Sasuke, since he's able to suppress the Kyuubi's chakra.
