I need to have my gall bladder removed because of gall stones. What are the long term effects of having no gall bladder? Does it impact your liver? I've heard of gall bladder flushes to remove stones. Do these really work? Is it painful?

I had gall bladder surgery, mine they cut me open.
You can now have one where they make a small incision
and they suck it out with some type of suction hose. It is much better than being cut open. You will have to watch your food intake. Some food you once ate will not be so for awhile after this surgery. It will settle down after some time. It took a few years before I could eat pizza again. Everyone is different. Good Luck on your surgery..

I am not sure about the long term effects of not having a gall bladder, but I do know that a lot of people live without there's. I have done a gall bladder flush it really does work, it is not painful you just have to stay close the bathroom for a day. It has helped me and I still have my gall bladder, my symptoms subside every time I have done a flush.

General and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges orthopaedic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her gall bladder removal surgery in India throught the forerunners healthcare .SHe is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps
