I'm going to tell you this like it is, and might offend some people in the process.

To buy on Ebay, you need to beware of the sellers that are on there, as for regardless of feedback, sometimes a seller will turn on you in a heartbeat. I have experienced problems with sellers that have numerous positives as well as with sellers with little to no feedback. All in all, I have had a decent experience on the site, and will say to you to make sure that you use discretion in what you choose to bid on. DO you homework, and if able pay with paypal, as for it will cover you against any problems that you may encounter.

Also, there are other numerous sites available that you can choose to deal with if you don't feel like messing with Ebay.

Some of those sites are:

http://www.onlineauction.com
http://www.blujay.com
http://www.overstock.com
http://www.bidville.com

Just make sure that you place the bid knowing that the person you are dealing with could be genuine, or could be a fake just waiting to steal your money. Ask the seller questions before bidding if need be, and they should be able to answer any doubts that you may have. If they can't answer you in the way you wish to have been answered, then it may be wise not to bid.

I am an ebay seller myself. The best thing to do when buying an item off of E-bay is to look at their feedback score. I would try to buy from someone who has a store with a high number or from a single person who has a score of over 100. E-bay also shows their percentage of positive feedbacks. Look for like 98% - 100%. I also have tons of things on there under the seller name movie_buff_girl and the store name Hobby Emporium if you'd like to see what I have for sale. :)

No. Ebay is a venue. Only a thief can rip you off. Check the sellers feedback and learn how to use ebay. Only use Paypal for payments.

eaby it's self is not a rip off. some items on ebay are ripoffs, so be sure to read up on what it is you're buying, and remember pictures can sometimes be decieving.
