It's a 99 Discovery. I'm pretty sure it was the head. Anyway it's going to be expensive. Should I sell it and let the buyer fix it, or fix it then sell it. I have had it 4 yrs and this is the first problem I have ever had with it.

IF YOU LIKE THE VEHICLE, THEN FIX IT AND KEEP IT. IF NOT, FIX IT AND SELL TO MAXIMIZE THE SELLING PRICE. IF IT IS BROKEN DOWN, THE PRICE WILL BE JUNK CAR PRICES.

Well if it is the head it will be fairly expensive to fix it roughly 3000. I can't say for sure how much but it would probably be best to take it to a mechanic to make sure that's the problem.

Hope you have AAA.

If you know about the problem and sell it and don't tell them you can get in trouble.

Take it to the dealer and find out what the problem. Then when sure make a decision based on the cost. It might be under warranty still.

If it is the head then where i live it would cost about 700 to fix it but i don't know where you are. But it may just be the head gasket. In that case it would be 450 to fix it

Call Salvation Army or some other charity to pick it up and take the tax break. If you donate your car through DonateCars.com, you get a certificate for two free hotel nights at any one of 70 resort areas (according to the website).
