I am applying for a position at a discount brokerage firm that deals with stocks and bonds. The job requires high security clearances. I am wondering if my juvenile records will show up if I apply for the position and they do a FBI criminal background check on my history.
I have gone to the courthouse and have all of my records sealed. I have not engaged in any criminal activity ever since I have turn 18; which is about 5 years ago. Not a bad person, just a wild one.

Juvenile records are not automatically wiped clean. You need to apply for expungement, which means they close the files and only let certain people see them, usually for criminal cases.
Contact the county were you were convicted and ask about the procedure for expungement.

Check for yourself. There are plenty of services that offer like one-time criminal backgorund checks. Best thing is, most of them do not charge unless something shows up. I am going to bet that juvenile records wont show up. One site that does a no "hit" no fee is www.peoplefinders.com. Check aorund though for the best deal.
If the company brings up your backgorund in the interview, honesty is the best policy. Until then, knowing for sure what is on your record can help you sleep better at night.

If they do a FBI check, yes it will show up. Mostly likely ignored if it was something minor. Be honest with them and let them know what happened. It' better they hear if from you
