Did any of your ever read or hear the results of a homosexual poll that recorded that 90+% of homosexuals's first sexual experience was at the hands of an adult homosexual when they, themselves were minors?
The poll also showed that lesbians had the same story, but only in the mid 80's percentage.
Did you see or hear it? it was first on radio (at least that is where I first heard of it) and then I saw it published in one of the papers in phoenix, same story.
I just want to know if you heard the story, I am not saying it is true or not. Please do NOT attack me as a spreader of lies. I am just asking if you saw or heard of it.
AND
I want to know if this was your experience, you were a minor and your first sexual sexual experience was with an adult that seduced (or forced) you into your first same sex experience?

The reason I want to know is that I wonder if the poll was really correct, kind of on or way off.
Just becasue others made the poll, it does not make it accurate and I thought that this audience could shed light on it with there own experiences, anecdotal, I know but it, at least, wuold be something real from my own experience and not what I heard on the radio.

I would believe this poll becuase a lot of gay people I talk to have had their firtst experience with an older homosexual adult when they were a minor and/or were raped.
Although, I am homosexual and have never experienced such a thing and my first experience was long after I had realized/considered myself gay.

My first sexual experience was with somebody my own age.
Before I would believe this statistic, I would need to see the way they found the participants. Where did they interview them and how the questions were asked. I don't doubt that the people they interviewed answered the questions they way they say, but I would need to know more than the results to know how accurate they are. If the gay people being "polled" were all in therapy because they had been molested, that would easily explain the result. If they were participating in a state ordered therapy program for sexual offenders, that would also explain the result. You see, we just don't know how they got the the final result, we only know the final result... according to you, based on something you heard on the radio. We don't know if other social scientists came up with similar results in an independent study of the results, either.
We don't really know anything about this study other than the results you think you heard on the radio nearly 20 years ago.
I would need to know more before I could give a good answer.
Not too long ago I heard Rush Limbaugh on the radio RANTING that drug abusers/offenders should be put in jail for the rest of their lives. Well, we now know he was lying. He keeps trying to get out of doing jail time for his drug offenses.
Just because you heard it on the radio doesn't make it true.

I do not recall any such poll.
From my own research, I belive it to be way off. Almost doubled the closest actual number.
The closest thing I know of was a 1992 sudy by Lynda Doll (et al) of homosexual and bisexual men, 37% reported a first sexual contact with someone whom they "perceived as being older or more powerful"; 94% of these were with a male.
Johnson and Shrier (in 1985, further information below) found that 90% of the adolescent males surveyed at an urban outpatient health clinic identified as heterosexual. Of those who reported sexual victimization by adults, 42.5% were heterosexual, 47.5% homosexual and 10% bisexual.
In another clinic study from 1994, Remafedi (cited below), a sample of 239 young men (13 to 21 years) who identified themselves as homosexual or bisexual resulted in 42% who had been sexually abused or assaulted.
Each of these polls, however, seems to have had unique definitions of molestation (Doll, et al., defined it differently with different age groups).
My first homosexual experience was with a boy of 14 or 15, just about my age. There was no force involved.

I have not heard of this study. I am bisexual and never experienced any sexual abuse, nor was I ever seduced by an adult when I was a child. (Not sure if you wanted responses from bi's, but there you go :) )

I do listen to Rock, but not by the Scorpions. I much prefer Meat Loaf. Sorry, but I think this falls into the nonsense category.

I don't know about a report like that. But I reccomend going to your library and use a search engine like EBSCOHOST which can search scientific findings as opposed to yahoo answers where you will likely just get suspicion and abuse.

what is your purpose in knowing this? I'm not sure it is statistically different than straight people. It looks more like some researcher, or you, are trying to say we are all pedophiles or something.
