I have no idea why the Rockets would trade Rudy Gay and Stromile Swift to Memphis for Shane Battier. When I heard about the trade, I was just stunned. Why would you trade a promising rookie and a good athletic power forward like Swift for Battier??? Battier is an average NBA player-he doesn't score much, doesn't rebound much and is nothing special. I really don't understand this trade and I don't know why the Rockets didn't keep Gay because he's going to be a good player in the league.

Man, the Rockets are just plain stupid. I could understand trading one player, but trading a possible rookie of the year, Rudy Gay and a pretty good power forward, Stromile Swift, is just crazy. First the Houston Texans give up Reggie Bush or Vince Young and now the Rockets are giving up both Swift and Gay for a player that isn't even that good. Both teams are going downhill before the seasons have even started.

Gay would have spent a lot of time on the bench for the Rockets for at least the first season. Gay has tremendous potential, but he was not a dominating college player. Swift was terrible last season and will probably be terrible next season. Battier will provide instant help, mainly on the defensive end. He can also knock down the open jumper, unlike Swift. Gay could become be an outstanding NBA player in a few years, but the Houston Rockets need help right now!

i think of you're actual that the Grizzlies ought to evaluate identifying to purchase and merchandising Rudy gay because of the fact they of course have a good factor going without him and having him back might desire to throw that off yet I heavily do not think of they are going to be getting Josh Smith for him. Rudy gay provides little or no to the Hawks that they have got not got already got yet dropping Smith may be devastating for their protection.

The Houston management must have been drugged when they agreed to this trade or something.
