Every year there seem to be more and more teens becoming pregnant, I feel it's a break down in the family unit and family values, we need to teach family values, it is possible even as a single parent to have a strong family unit. families come in all shapes and sizes in all economic levels and values come from family and family teaching. I have two teens one 18 and one 20 and both are virgins and collage students with steady boyfriends and great morals, both have high standards and values thanks to open communication and a strong family to depend upon.

Actually kids have been getting pregnant young a lot earlier than that. I remember when i was 12 I saw a talk show about an 11 year old that was pregnant, Im 20 now. I also have friends whos moms are still very young and they were obviously very young when they had them.

I personally don't think there is a rise in teen pgcy..it is probably statistically the same as the 1920's..it is just that instead of being forced to marry or being put in an unwed mother's home, or being sent to the country for 9mths,many girls are now keeping their babies so it is more obvious out on the streets.

Kids are having sex at younger and younger ages these days. Unfortunately, boys pressure the girls into having sex. And they often can't resist. They're usually not educated about birth control and think abstinence is not an option.
It's really sad. There are a lot of women who are getting pregnant when they can barely afford to take care of themselves...let alone a child too.

Because most teens aren't careful. i'm nine months pregnant and wanted to go to college; i still am but i have to put it on hold.
There are ways to prevent it but i thought i couldn't get pregnant. After all my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex for 3 years and now i have one on the way. I don't regret it, but i wish I would've been a little bit smarter.

the are many teens getting pregnant because of alot of reason like one the want to have children/two no one to guide them the right way /three unprotect sex .the is alot more reason if u think

It may just be your perseption. Perhaps you know alot of teens who have become pregnant this year. I believe that pregnancy rates among teens are either in a decline or they aren't increasing much.

too much sex on tv. & parents trying to be their kids "friends" instead of being their parent. They are trying to stay "cool" & be younger.
