can i live comfortably on 10 dollars an hour working 40 hrs a week...paying 525 in rent and utilities (prob around 150-200) and working only 40 hrs a week?
i have no car payments, just 50 in cell phone and other nessecities such as food

Yes, you can live off of that! Especially if you are paying $525 in rent, and $200 for utilities.
$10x40hrs a week=$400. $400x4weeks (1 month)= $1600.
You figure, after taxes, you are looking at $1250-$1300.
You have enough.
So, congrats! You can actually live off your check!

Well, how old are you? What kind of work is it.. does it promise you in a long term run. Will you retire from it or get laid off later on.. Any 401k? Any investment. Are you married? plan to?

All the factors add up, you still lose to the inflation and high tax rate!

Get another job with more money or 2nd job to make up the the inflation rate. But then, that 2nd job will pay for your health.. you may get sick seriously from working too much...

Back to square 1.. keep your job.. live until you can't!
