i like the security of having a man but i want the security of having a future should i give up and find someone new or keep waiting for him to want to set a date

Sweetheart, I put my present wife off for 10 years. Honestly, why is it this way? Money, ideal wedding, careers, someone in a rush? Relax if he is the one and he feels the same it'll happen. Sounds like you may be young too so relax you have a lifetime to figure all this out.

If he won't set a date, and constantly finds 'excuses' as to why he can't 'then'.. as that book says (written by Sex and the City writers), He's just not that into you! He should WANT To marry you, and if he doesn't then something is wrong.

well if he can't make a date then he can't be too involved witha marriage. I am sorry if that sounds harsh i don't mean to be but it really burns my cookies to hear that a girl is waiting for 3 years just to set a date. Get out and find yourself your soulmate. Enjoy your life and do what you have to.
If he by now has not set a date heis not going to unless he is forced and who needs him if it is forced the hell with it. Good Luck to you and kick him to the curb.

and if you're not ready to that- talk to him abotu it.
