There's no way to accurately answer that question. Boston guy has most of the answer, but time of year, prevailing winds, round the clock sailing or day hopping, all will have it's effect. The average blue water boat is 35 feet long, and average hull speed will be about 6.5 knots, which is only a little over 8/10ths of a mile per hour. Only a chart will be able to tell you the distance you can plan to travel, and then do the math.

Most of the year, North to SF from SD is against the prevailing winds so it will be a beat all the way and in the summer you will probably have fog much of the time from Pt Conception to SF unless You reach far offshore and reach back in. You should expect at least 5 days under sail unless you plan to motor most of the way .... and then you need to be sure to carry enough fuel for harbor-hopping.

I have just done this run and it took about 16 hours, Winds were not a problem as they were very light and the current is a small consideration .
I work on a 95,000 tonne container ship and we steamed along at a happy 30 knots.

That depends upon your boat, the rigging, the winds, and your skill.

Ignore the joker above. That's about 500 miles. If you managed an average of 10 kts around the clock, it would take around 2 full days.
