A lot, actually. (but then they weren't atheists anymore after that).
I think for some people, they don't believe in God until something happens in their life that puts it all in perspective. You might walk away unscathed from a bad car accident that killed everyone else in the car, or something along those lines. Or, you may just have a moment of extreme weakness and beg for help, from anyone or anything. There are a lot of ways for that to happen.

A can of worms with this question... The so called follower of a mortal named Jesus son of Mary and Joseph who quoted the 2nd commandment thinks that atheism is a form of idolatry. What is religion? An ideal that is idolized and no more real than Zeus. I found god but I'm not a Christian or a follower of any of the other Abrahamic faiths. In fact it's my own belief. Search inward not out...

Athiesm is a "god," or form of idolotry. Idolatry is creating a "god" to suit yourself. Anyone who commits Idolatry is breaking the 2nd commandment, which says, "You shall not make any graven image." Ignorance is blissful, but it does not negate death and God's impending judgement of humanity.

Why, is he lost?
And thank you egotistical Christians (or am I repeating myself) who feel they are the only ones who have a god
