have a 25 hp tracker engine on my small 15 ft aluminum v-hull fishing jon-engine runs great but when boat reaches planing speed at or about 3/4 throttle it feels likt the prop comes out of the water--stops producing thrust,although i am sure it is in the h20-engine revs high and boat slows down----anyone have any ideas or experienced this ?your input is appreciated.thanks in advance.

Might need to lower the motor one hole,on pin,or get a sting-ray fin,or both

It sounds like engine "Cavitation", it sucking air and not water. Tuck it down and in more. Another thing "look" at where the lower unit lines up with the bottom of the boat. Above the Prop you see a flat looking plate, This should be even or just a little lower than the lowest part of the bottom of boat.

Your prop may be loose? At low speeds under less load it acts fine, but when you pick up the pace and a greater load is forced upon it the prop may begin to spin out. Or something from the engine to the prop under that same force load stuff.

the tilt on the motor needs to be adjusted when the boat reaches its plane.the angle isnt right in that configuration.
