If I got a visa while living in nebraska which is 6 years and now reside in kansas which is only 3 years, and the credit card company is located in fla which is between 4 and 6 written? Which state do you go by the statue of limitations for credit card debt?

I found it at http:www.debtreferral.com/statue.html so what if the credit card co was from kansas? Does that mean the statue would be 3 years...or where i lived which would be 6

It's where you lived at the time you incurred the debt.

I'm not sure the statue of limitation for Nebraska, but if they are not up they can file the judgment in the state you live at now.

Hard to say. Usually the procedural law of the state where the lawsuit is filed governs, and the counting starts from the date of the last payment to the credit card company. However, the credit card contract itself may specify which state's law governs the contract and your rights. In any event, once you lose the case, the issue of statute of limitations is irrelevant because you are required to raise that issue at or before trial.

The credit card agreement most likely states what venue any disputes would take place in, and it is most likely the state where the company is located.
