If they are in Very Good shape
200.00
Drag Racers use lower gears 488,,,513 etc

you can get the whole carrier, pumpkin, or third member (whichever you prefer to call it) completely set up for $325-$375.00 at a monthly car show/swap meet here at the Los Angeles fairgounds. the carrier is mostly where the price increase is, whether its cast or nodular. read the single large letter/code on the outside of the carrier above the pinion seal. FYI: the nodular carrier is almost bulletproof but really not necessary unless its for a hard core big block full size race car. you could just buy the gears for $150-$250.00 but then you gotta pay to set it up and if your a novice which you sound like, you may screw it up and will have just thrown your money away. an expensive lesson. the whole carrier overall is the best way to go and it comes with a warranty. much quicker and easier.

Never underestimate the value of your local salvage yards. They most likely have several in stock and they will be the cheapest. Ask and they will most likely know since those parts usuailly outlast the car (or teuck) they were first installed in. If it's drive line, check them first...some even put a guarentee on them.
