FTP being stupid?

Question

Hey, why is it that when I copy something into my FTP folder, leave it and go back to it, the file I copied across is now gone? How can I get it to stay? Gosh!

I am copying and pasting. Ive tried dragging too, though.

Make sure the file is read only and only you can modify it. If its read only then no one can take the folder off just copy it like they are suppose to do. If you need people to put things on there then give them a specail username and password and give them only write permissions not modify or delete.
