I guess it just isn't easy to accept the Republican criminals robbing, raping, ruining, our country and many others. It does make you mad to think that these scumbags are just out for personal gain while most people care about others. They are racists, bigots and want to drown welfare babies in the bathtub. They hate minorities, immigrants, and everyone who is not a member of the golf club, they SUCK.
That makes the more sane part of the population a bit mad.
Not that Democrats are that much better... they suck too.

As a democrat, I often find that republicans do not just express a view, they tend to add condescending, degrading and rude comments to their opinions. Their opinions are filled with attacks and insults that can be subtle or outright rude; yet when they are responded to in similar fashion they don"t or cannot take the heat. Often their opinions are filled with a better than thou attitude that can be offensive.
Also many of the republicans I have met can be racist. The same kind of people I encountered while growing up. Many times I have been told that I appear to be very intelligent in such a way they expected less of me, being that I am a so called "minority". While in college I was often told I was going to get special consideration; although I worked for every grade I got as well as paid my own tuition. I can accept views different than my own, but I will not accept being talked down to because of my own views.

It isn't just 'Democrats'.
Unfortunately, our society has relegated 'intelligent' discussion of our issues be they political, religious, moral, etc, to a 'good-guy' vs.'bad guy' scenario. We are competitive, rather than cooperative. I feel we tend to scapegoat all our sorrows onto the 'other guys', whom ever they may be so that we can't allow ourselves to see how every one has a good idea once in a while.
I feel that most of the hostility is really coming from the insecurity of the "opposition", because they sub or unconsciously know that their positions aren't really that solid, nor well thought out. They don't want to admit what they are really afraid of, so they just lump all opposition into categories such as 'idiots', rather than examining the positions they are supposedly in favor of for true merit, and worth.
Our society (thanks to the media) prefers the 'quick fix', "don't bother me with the details". That is why the 'sound bite' negative campaigns work, even tho we know they are ridiculous.
It seems almost as if we have forgotten that we are ALL AMERICANS here, and don't need to treat each other like some Middle Eastern nations treat members of the same Religion!
Remember, Love and Fear cannot occupy the same space at the same time.

In my family my in-laws are Republicans and when President Clinton was in office they were like crazy idiots and have high blood pressure. Now I don't speak to them and they probably are keeping their mouth shut cause since they voted for Bush the tight wads they are wouldn't say a word as they gasp paying $3.00 a gallon of gas to constantly run, vacation, shop, and eat out 3 times a day!

I can identify with that. I have been begging liberals to have a real discussion about the issues. I promised that I would be civil and there would be no accusing or name calling just a real discussion of issues. out of thousands on this site only two took me up on it. I sent the answers to their questions and I haven't heard back. I honestly think it is just that the Democratic leadership has gone so far over the edge that they don't debate anymore they just attack.

I thought this one would be easy but it doesn't look like anyone got it yet.
Democrat positions are based on feelings not logical thought. That is why you don't see Democrat movie stars running for office. They generally can't convince anyone to believe in their views so they back door everything through judges.

Oh I see. I was going to say democrats don't normally get super irate just for differing views BUT you are talking about family. Families tend to do that no matter what your party affiliation is. Especially the parents that want their children to be little clones of themselves.

The root of liberal logic is emotion. Happiness and fear. Conservatives base their arguments on reasoning and thinking about tomorrow. Liberals say "we need to spend more on welfare - these people need our help, look at them." Conservatives say "we need to get these people jobs, so they can take care of themselves. It won't be easy for them today, but tomorrow everyone will be better off because of it."
Because most liberal arguments rely on emotion, I think they are more likely to get bent out of shape and upset about issues, while conservatives would be able to make arguments without yelling and insulting people.

That is because democRATS...like their name implies...behave like animals. Remember when Katrina struck New Orleans and how we saw unemployed minorities (who are ALWAYS democRATS!) creating chaos out of the Nagin vacuum?
Without BIG government controlling them, democRATS would act like untrained apes. We need to control them.
