She should call Baby Arizona, they will help your friend apply for at least emergency ahccs, and if she can't afford the delivery, they can help with that too, maybe at a lower price and on monthly payments.

Getting private health insurance to cover prenatal care is going to be expensive if you can find it, since your pregnant. I would check with local health insurance agents; they should be able to let you know in a couple of minutes what kind of options you have (link below). Here are some thoughts:
1. Baby Arizona: http://www.ahcccs.state.az.us/Services/Programs/babyAZ.asp - It’s part of the Arizona’s Medicaid system – the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCS), which I guess is what you’re speaking of when you wrote “access.”
2. Free Clinics: http://medkind.com/Scripts/Modules/Module6/A2.idc - there are certainly more than the ones listed here.
3. County Health Department
4. WIC: http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/ - help with food, formula, and referrals to other social services
5. Arizona Department of Insurance: http://www.id.state.az.us/consumer.html - there might be a program for pregnant women. Call and ask.
6. Birthing Center: http://www.birthcenters.org/fabc/index.php - they are less expensive than hospitals. I don’t know much about them, but this site has some information.
7. Private Insurance: http://www.mostchoice.com/health-insurance.cfm - Web site that’s free and there’s no obligation. Puts you in touch with Arizona-licensed health insurance agents.
Hope this helps,

She needs to go to the guy that knocked her up. He was quick enough to fill her up well now he has to pay for the gasoline. She left him ride now give him the ticket to pay. Two dummies have no right to ask the taxpayers to pay for the mistake the taxpayer had nothing to do with. Safe sex could have avoided the problem. Instead of feeling pity for them get them to take responsibility.
