The question is not if, but when a rapper or hip-hop artist will come out of that closet and confront the world. I know there has to be a few of them out there. I have my suspicions about some.

I think it would be great for a popular artist of that genre to reveal there true desires. We need more mainstream gay artists out there.

However, this decision could prove detrimental to their career. Do you think there are any ready to take that chance?

I dont think so something that may seem so meaningless to us is death to the career meaning the money meaning their income meaning their cars, home,REPS both on and off street cred. So as far as in this time I dont believe we would ever see a homosexual hip hop/rap artist.

I don't think an established rap artist would come out. It's kind of like a country artist/band saying they don't support the President of the US. The only way I can see it happening is if he was outed by the press. I do think that there will be openly gay rappers (if they aren't already out there) that will be performing and getting signed.

Honey, this isn't going to happen - at least not for male Rap artists. They have to keep up their 'bad bad - from the hood' image. It don't matter if this bad boy image is true or not, but this image is part of what sells records. If he's gay, and he comes out and says he is, that image is ruined (and so are his CD sales.) If it's a female rap artist who comes out of the closet, society would be a lot more accepting of this.

I think it will happen eventually... but not anytime soon. It was years before it was okay to come out even in Hollywood. And there are still folks in the closet there. The hip hop world is even less sympathetic by and large.
