If you have not had sexual intercourse then you are a virgin. Nothing else can take your virginity except intercourse.

These days there are many debates about Virginity. well, In my opinion you are still a virgin as long as you have not HAD intercourse.
Some culture/people believe that you are no longer Virgin if you stretch youe legs to far apart, you are no longer a virgin. For example, if you are a ballerina, you are no longer a virgin. But in a modern society, such believe hardly exist.
I read a few book about virginity and they said that you can't really tell whether someone is still a virgin or not by looking at it. Some people believe if you are a virgin, they your first intercourse you will bleed. But NOT all ladies Bleed.

Um....this doesn't make any sense - you are asking what makes you NOT a virgin other than sex, but SEX IS what makes you not a virgin, not anything else. Something tells me you lost your virginity and are having a hard time accepting it and trying to fabricate other things that will make you a virgin again. Sorry, there is nothing else. Who cares if you are a virgin or not, this is 2006, not 1906.

The only think that can cause a virgin not to be one is to have sex. Tearing your hymen doesn't mean that you're not a virgin. You have to have intercourse in order to not be a virgin anymore.
virgin is used to describe a person who has not engaged in (penetrative) sexual intercourse. This use is traditionally restricted to a person who has not yet engaged in vaginal intercourse, especially a woman, but it is sometimes used to describe someone who has not engaged in sexual activities in general.

Only sexual intercourse will take the title of virgin away. But yes, the physical veil so to speak, can be broken due to sports or some accident.
Being a virgin is a blessing. Something to be cherished until the day you get married. It says to your husband to be, that he is the man, you waited for.

You know you're a virgin when you have chosen to NOT have sex before marriage.
Note: Girls who get raped often fall into thinking that they are not virgins...this is wrong. CHOOSING to have sex and being FORCED to have sex are two totally different things that people confuse a lot.

c'mon, y'all! Technically, yes, if your hymen is still intact, you're a virgin. But ORAL SEX is still SEX! So, if you've gone down on a guy, that counts.

technically if your hymen is unbroken, you are considered a virgin...but, its sooo thin that with strenuous exercise, stretching, or just something as simple as that can tear it...
