They are normally not. You may just have a common psychological misperception that makes you think so. In social psychology it is common for men to misinterpret the actions of women that interact with them.

Normally, in my 55 years experience and 5 marriages, I've found that women are mostly competitive with other women, they only look aggressive to guys. Once you get a lady's attention, and you get her alone, no easy task, then it's up to you, she will either reject you, or she melts.

I am a female. I think some girls aggressive. I was told before if a girl is aggressive with you that means she likes you.
