I think a person would have to be totally clueless, or just naive to believe something like that. Innocent people are jailed or arrested everyday. It's up to us, as voters and potential jury members to see through the confusion and make an informed decision.

The problem here is that there is no perfect legal system. Do I believe that innocent people get convicted? Yes. However In my opinion it is better to convict the innocent than to let guilty go free. Sometimes you must give to get. Please don't get me wrong. If I had it my way the innocent would never pay for someone Else's wrong doings. What is the alternative? What is an acceptable ratio? We all know this world is not perfect. It is just up to your personal opinion on what the acceptable loss is.

It is my experience that Innocent People go to jail more often than you think.
for example.....I call the police and tell them that my husband beat me up....I have a bruise on my face and tell the police that he did it...the law is-- if there is evidence of abuse, you gotta arrest---guess who goes to jail????
As for convictions---who can afford the best attorneys???
Those with money.
What do the poor get??? Court appointed.
In my opinion, court appointed means "Kiss you A$$ goodbye".
I also agree with the poster who said sometimes people get set up...that's true...sometimes Confidential Informants lie to get their own charges dropped.
Sometimes it's mistaken identity....and sometimes, it's sloppy investigative work.
Don't get me wrong---I've worked with some honest and decent trustworthy cops...and then I've worked with some in the past ( and I emphasis..the past )
that I wouldn't P*ss on if they were on fire.
*I'm not a youngin' I'm an oldun!!LOL

Several people get arrested & convicted, that they sometimes have no clue about. similarities, wrong place...wrong time one can get arrested, witnesses that are liars, even people set to take the fall because the guilty have no concience.......just don't care........it's not them..... beware they are troubled.....to run from wrong.
