Funny you should ask. I was JUST re-reading an old story of adventure and mystery at sea, named "The Strange Ordeal of the Normandier," by H.L. Tredee. He recounted the obsession one of his shipmates had with the cockroaches that infested the old tramp steamer.
Sven the sailor read about a sure cure for cockroaches, in a magazine ad. "Guaranteed to kill all cockroaches or your money back! Just $5!"
Sven sent $5 - a LOT of money in 1926 - for the cure. He was thrilled when a package was forwarded weeks later to their next port of call. he sat on his bunk, hands trembling a little, as he unwrapped the package.
Inside were two wooden blocks and an instruction sheet. "Place cockroach on block. Slam other block on top. Cockroach elimination gauranteed."

I recomend a bait called maxforce FC. or any other with the active ingriedent of Friponil. Then you must first clean the kitchen like you have never cleaned before, I mean go into every crack and crevice that you can find and use bleach to get it sanitary. Use caluk to fill any cracks in the wall or countertops, remember to be through! You can use a shop vac to suck as many roaches into the vac then apply the bait. You need to put it where the roaches are so remember to be through. The bait will work but it takes time. This is not an instant kill!

I worked in property management for apartments and also real estate and the best way you are going to get rid of the roaches is to call in a specialist like Orkin or another company.Better do it soon because they multiply so quickly and it it very unhealthy.Sprays and the bombs you get from the store are not that effective. You are going to need a professional to get rid of the problem for good.Good luck and some of the companies do have reasonable payment plans

My old roommate and I used to have this problem! We chased them around with a can of Raid. However, that rarely killed them. The only surefire method we found was trapping it under a bowl or glass. We'd check back in a few days and it'd be dead.

Skoosh it!
Unless you meant cockroaches instead of just cockroach. If there's to many to skoosh you should call pest control to come and fumigate.

the best i found was a combination of cornstarch and baking soda placed behind and under refrigerator and stove and in jar lids in the cabinets... clean and effective..the roaches eat it due to cornstarch,,they then go back to nest and end up exploding due to b.soda,,,and other roaches will eat those and will also explode..
