I like the idea of a sinbin. Imagine some cheating player having to watch his team lose without him beacause he's been a cheaty naughty boy. the level of sportsmanship is generally deplorable, but there are exceptions, eg, gerrard.

How are you gonna determine someone fakes an injury. There would have to be a medical team on the sideline! The only thing we can do is when the player tries to get back on the field too soon give him a yellow card (red is too hard, I think). Or invent some new rule which will keep him out of the game for five minutes or so (the third color card could still be used for this).
Diving is another problem. For really determining whether a player dived or just fell to the ground because he was duelling for the ball (falling does not necessarily mean you're trying to fix a penalty!) you will need video appliances. If a dive is obvious yellow card should be given.
Immediate red for these cases mean I think very short games, not enough players will remain on the pitch.

For faking injury,Red card plus 3 match ban without wages. For diving, exactly the same.We also need a Video Ref like there is in Rugby so there can be no disputing the refs decisions, this MUST happen soon or the Beautiful Game is finished as far as I am concerned because it is teaching the young up and coming players that cheating wins and that is very sad !!!

I think the opposite, we should give out acting medals for a great dive or for faking an injury. My fave was the guy who got headbutted, waited three seconds to think about things, then collapsed in terrible pain. He deserves an oscar for best drama and for sheer nerve.
But seriously, it's a massive problem, which is upsetting football fans everywhere. Wouldn't it be a breath of fresh air to see a team who played by the rules no matter how tough the game became? They'd be the real heroes.

i like that rule of diving then give the opponent a penalty if it was made a rule then few players would dive. But on the other hand there are some referees who ignore a player brought down and mistake for a dive so imagine how painful it would be to give the other team a penalty kick.

i think that if a player is going to fake an injury then he should be sent from the field and to the nearest drama school for specially gifted soccer players, there is no place for it in football and as for simulation as they call it now sin bin them for 10 mins and see how they feel about trying to gain an advantage when their team is down to ten men

I believe they should be dealt with as it is plus additional punishment such a game ban and a fine! after the game when it has been reviewed and maybe made to appoligize to all fans watching!(well something harsh and embrarassing anyway)!
