I got a top three basically:
1. Freidrich Nietzsche, because he decimated all notions of truth, metaphysics, rationality, and morality, showing them for the hollow shells they truly are. Some of his ideas are horribly outdated (especially about women) but for the most part I think he saw the world the most philolosophically out of all the major thinkers.
2. Socrates because he questioned things that no one had questioned before, and knew better than anyone (until Nietzsche at least) the limits of human knowledge, which is, I believe, the central point of all philosophy. If something is unknowable, then it is effectively useless.
3. Kant because he again placed important limits on human knowledge - the rest of his philosophy is pretty much bullcrap, but his epistemological works are vital to the rest of philosophy I believe.

Socrates, Lao Tsu, Berkeley, Hume and Descartes all have to be front runners. I think Tsu got to wrapped up in "the way", Hume forgot to doubt his own doubt, Descartes failed in his conclusion (I like the backwards version, "I am therefore I think") so that leaves Socrates and Bishop Berkeley. I'm going to have to keep with Socrates because if he had access to the information available to the bishop, he might have changed the couse of humanity more than anyone else in history...
Honorable mention: Joseph Campbell, Locke, Kant
People who ask and dont answer (thats why I pick Socrates)

Before I answer, does Most philisophical mean the best philosipher? Either way it's Socrates. He IS the father of modern thought. Plato, Aristotle, and all the rest who are mentioned by others as " pioneers" of philosophy are in reality students of socrates. They have built their theories on or argued against socrates for as long as man can remember.

the prime minister of malaysia,
dr mahathir
also the smartest person that i know who exist on this planet
and also the most caring person without giving a **** about rewards. he is some sort of a super being.
but of course i'm just being bias here.
socrates was great, phenomenal.
i personally am fond of montaigne for the brutal honesty he displays especially in his essays.at one point in the book, there was this lenghty discussion on the reason why he doesn't like eating certain types of veggies and stuff like that.
he just went rambling on pathetically and i found that amusing really. didn't quite expect it, you know from a great big 'philosopher'. it was refreshing to come to learn that these folks from mid 16th century are just as paranoid as the 'modern man' .
simone de beauvoir is a fine example . she led an experimental life in all respects , it was kinda amazing but kinda unexamplary as well to those who need a codified structure to survive?
she is extremely good at breaking down problems to reveal an alternative solution that only 000.001% of the world's population can agree with;
but nevertheless....
john milton however posseses the same sort of intellingence, an agressive spirit of inquiry but with added moral value if ya will. and he worked hard on it thru polical participations and other misdemeneours.

Bugs Bunny. Everyone can learn something from that cartoon rabbit. I'm surprised there are no published accounts of visitations from this profound hare. For the doubters I suggest they watch an episode or two, then pass judgment. Thank you for this question.
