How do you roll over the top of Converse Chuck Taylors?

How much of the shoelace must you unlace? I dont get it. How do you even tie it when it is rolled down?

take the laces out to the start of the high-top part of the shoe. about three holes from the top go without laces. if you want you can just loosen the laces instead of untying them

Leave the top three holes empty then roll. If the cuff wont stay down use an iron on low heat to press. good luck!
