I would place myself in the american middle class. I live in Mississippi.

I think most people would agree that two of my brothers and one of my sisters are towards the center of the american middle class.

They live in Virginia, Utah, and Florida.

The middle class, by definition is in the middle. Since most distributions of this type are more or less normal, the middle will be the biggest part. More americans are middle class than anything else. You should be able to find them anywhere very easily.

The problem appears to be with your definition. What do YOU think would qualify someone as American middle class?

I think American Middle Class no longer exists. The rich have become to rich for this section of working public to remain. We have become the working class poor. No matter how hard we work or how many hours we put in, we still can't afford to put any money back or get ahead.

Yes, we still exist. We're all around you, but the cost of living has gone up so the middle class is looking a little better than usual.

Middle class is still there but it is the smallest class now and not the biggest anymore because the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and the people in the middle are pulling on way or another

They are disappearing. Wages The rich are getting richer and most of everyone else is getting poorer! The middle class will always be around, just not in the upper. Most of us are moving toward poverty.

325,000 for a condo and that doesn't include taxes!

I don't know how people even live in NYC with the cost of their apt.
