My wife had three periods, and was tested many times, with those over the counter ones, and blood tests, and nothing would show her, that she was pregnant!!
She had all the typical symptoms of an intestinal flue. Stomach cramps, nausea in the mornings and all that, and we were sure, something was wrong, but, the doctor said that she wasnt pregnant so, after all and all, said and done, it finally showed up! Yea, about 6 months afterwards :)
Healthy baby girl. And we love her dearly even though, she is a teenager now, and my wife is about to punch her ticket to a slow boat to china!! LOL!!
Teens, the curse of every parent! :)
I wish you well..
Jesse

Well, they say usually the blood test is always right, I done a hpt and it had a very faint line also but i done it again a few days later and yes i was pregnant, that has happened to me more than once i hace 4 children, so if there is any line at all it usually is positive. Also, many things could make a false positive, an infection, medication you may be on, there is alot of factors to consider, so I would definatly see my OB-GYN, and until you can do another hpt just to see what it says. Good Luck, hope all goes well

You are only supposed to read the test when the directions tell you. If you read the whole pamphlet it should tell you not to read the results even a hour later because a line can show up even if you are not pregnant . Some of them even if you move them while the test is going on can mess them up. Good luck

At home tests can and do reveal false positives. Ooops. They probably don't tell you that on the package. Remember, a "faint" second line is like a "Little" pregnant.

remember that an hpt is most accurate 7 to 10 days after having intercourse, and when you first go to the bathroom in the morning. morning urine is the most concentrated, so it will give you the highest possible hcg levels so far. obviously, hcg levels will increase up until the first trimester is over, and then they plummet down and progesterone takes over.
