Late twentys, around 27 or 28. You have lived a "fun" life, run around and play, gone places, seen sights and no ready to settle down. Even early thirties is ok, but much after that you're too old. By that I mean when you have a child at say, 28, when that child is ten years old you will be 38. When that child grows up and has kids of their own, you are now a grandparent at age 50 or so. At age 50 you can still "do active things" with your grandchildren without being too "old". After age 30 you are creeping into the mid 50's and even 60 if your children wait to have children of their own at 27 or 28. So I'd say late 20's, a\round 27 or 28, you've experienced lifem had your "fun" and time to settle down a bit. I hope this helps. I've thought about it for years, and when I hear someone has a child at 40, eeeeek! That means when your child is 10 you'd be 50, and when they graduate you'd be 57 or so. And if they get married and wait to have chldren, like you did, you will be way into your 60's or more. I am trying to be clear but hard to explain in writting. If you chart out the ages on paper it is easier to see what I am trying to say.

Age is important, but marital status is more important. For us, we wanted to be married a while. We were married 6 years with our first and 10 years with our second. We got pregnant the first time we tried each time, including one we lost between the two. I was 30 with my first and 34 with my youngest. I will probably be 37 with my next and hopefully 40 with my last if we go for #4.
I love the maturity that came with age and how that affects my parenting. My husband is two years older than I am.

when your married, you don't have to be 30 or 20 that's bias. My friend was 16 and now 17 with her second. As long as you are married and mature enough you should be good. I'm married and 15 and have 4 months to go until my son is born God willing , some say it's a little harder when your younger because your body isn't really built for carrying a baby as much as a 20 year old would be...that's bull. Anyways thats my opinion

Well im not the best advise giver but here goes my answer anyways...that answer depends how your financial situation, relationship, and housing...And since everyone isnt the same there isnt shouldnd be an age set to be good....The way I see it, once you have done all the partying and staying out all night to hold you out for a few years...my guess 23 or 24...cause you know you dont want to be old when your kids hit thier teens...just remember how you were.

age rarely counts for squat. The right time to have a child is when you are financially secure. Happily married. And in a comfortable home.
