At eBay you can get good deals, but on eBay people can make really good fakes. My friend got a Coach purse from eBay and it was fake, but she went to get it appraised (is that the word?) and they said it was real. So if you do get something from eBay, be careful.
At the Salvation Army and thrift stores, you can get designer things for cheap, but sometimes they aren't in the best condition.
At T.J. Maxx && Marshalls, they have cheap designer clothes, and sometimes they are still in style, but a lot of times, the styles are outdated.
I recommend waiting until something goes on clearance at marshall fields, or saks, or neiman marcus, and buy it on one of the days they give you 15% off (for marshall fields).
Also, there is Saks 5th Ave. store, where it's cheaper designer clothes (what's it called?). It's a store by Saks, anyways.

Try a thrift store. I got a Dooney and Burke purse from the Salvation Army for $10!

Nordstrom Rack has designer jeans and shoes-- and a great selection. Century 21 is good, too, especially for extremely high-end names like D&G, Chanel, and Prada.
