This coming from a guy who used to hate Spielberg (yup, there was a time), but here goes:
Jaws - because it ushered in a new era of filmmaking and said that making an exploitation film doesn't mean it has to be totally crappy
Munich - For tackling a subject no one wanted to and showing us that an assassin can be human as well. Also, for not taking JUST the Israeli side of the story.
Saving Private Ryan - For finally giving us a real taste of what WWII was really like instead of just a bunch of flag waving superheroes. The D-Day sequence will blow your mind
and finally the BEST Spielberg film:
Schindler's List - One of the best acted films I have ever seen and an amazing debut but Ralph Fiennes. His Amon Goethe is one of the most chilling Nazi portraylas I have ever seen without seeming over the top. The liquidation of the ghetto is terrifying.

"Schindler's List" and "Shaving Ryan's Privates" are really good, but I'd have to say "E.T." Don't tell anyone, but I still sometimes cry at the end of it! Shhhhhhhhhh...

When I was a little guy, it was E.T. I don't know which one to choose since then, there's been so many good ones. I haven't seen Munich yet, but I heard by every single person it's extremely violent and majorly depressing.

The War Of The Worlds becuase he put so much of his OWN (as did Tom Cruise) money into the production of it.
Plus he did a great job with it.
