Green Day by far! they do such different stuff each time. and they've been on the scene for like 15 years!

Green Day all the way. Although I'm not the biggest fan of their music, it's true punk, unlike all this other pop rock and new-age punk. They understand what this music is about; they don't go and worry about other bands such as Hawthorne Heights, which other bands would prolly do, but rather find out about punk rock from the good ol' days, such as music from the Clash and the Ramones. And the thing is, they started from absolutly nothing. They lived during the times where most mothers were drug addicts and fathers were drunks. Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt just happened to be good friends that shared the interest in punk music and were able to play instruments. The result? A great new band by the name of Green Day. They went through every single step they needed to; they started from nothing, went through those days when the only gigs they got were at cheap bars, and eventually, they got their own concerts and put out albums. And you know what? Fall Out Boy would have never been able to survive that. They came into the music scene recently, when you could get a record deal from just about anyone. I honestly think that Fall Out Boy can't, and won't, survive the sixteen years Green Day did. They don't even play a real genre of rock. They aren't even punk. They're pop. Thassright, they're the same as all those people who are afraid to go beyond what the average person wants to hear.
So there's my little history lesson.

green day is classic, but their new stuff is over played and is now annoying in my opinion.

fall out boy is modern, a little quirky (what were they thinking with the vampire music video?!?) but have good songs. sugar we're going down will live on forever.
