The *only* way to get pregnant is to have sex shortly before the woman ovulates. Eating a basically healthy diet may help. Avoiding caffeine, smoking, drinking, and drugs also could increase fertility. But neither of these is *likely* to help any particular couple.

I would suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will answer all your questions about increasing the chances of conceiving.

Do *not* bother with online ovulation calendars. They only give information about an "average" woman and are therefore wrong more often than right (that's what average means!!). Think of it this way. If you were to assume that every woman you meet is exactly 5'4" tall just because that's *average*, would you usually be right?

Ovulation predictor kits can help some women (especially if they have very regular cycles and average hormone levels), but have a high degree of failure, too. Charting cycles (which the book mentioned above will teach you how to do) is the most accurate method of determining when you are fertile.

Good luck!!

well there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

It's difficult to say exactly how long it will take any one individual or couple to get pregnant. Factors such as your age, general and reproductive health, and when you have intercourse all impact your chances of conceiving a child

However, these general statistics may give you an idea of how long it will take. Normally fertile couples have a 25 percent chance of getting pregnant each cycle, and a cumulative pregnancy rate of 75 to 85 percent over the course of one year. Still, some healthy couples can take even longer to get pregnant

And you can try to increase your likelihood of getting pregnant sooner by learning to pinpoint exactly when you ovulate, and by familiarizing yourself with the cyclic hormonal and physical changes that take place in your body each month.

I have included some links for you so you can do some reading and research on your body. OVULATION IS THE KEY TO GETTING PREGNANT! Remember that. These are the steps you need to take...
1.) Make an appt. with an OBGYN. He or She needs to give you a complete exam and make sure you are having regular periods, that your tubes are unblocked, and that you donot have anything else that may cause you to not get Pregnant ie...sexually transmitted diseases, PCOS, ect...
2.) You need to make sure that you are ovulating. Belive it or not, some women, do not ovulate. And as I said, Ovulation is the KEY to getting pregnant. To do this, you should buy a Basal Themometor (you can buy at almost any store where they sell regular themometors.) and start taking your temps EVERY MORNING BEFORE you get out of bed. to read more about this, check out this website for what they have to say about it.. http://www.mamasark.com/bbt.htm............
3.) you also need to learn to check your Cervix Position AND your Cervial Mucus everyday. To learn more about this check out these websites... http://www.webwomb.com/check_cervical_po...
and
http://www.webwomb.com/cervical_mucus_pa...
4.) Once you have got this all down you need a place to chart them all so that you can keep track of what your body is doing and when you ovulate. www.fertilityfriend.com is the best place to do this. It is a free site and it allows you to chart your temperature, your cervial mucus and position and helps detrmine when you ovulate.

*********OF COURSE YOU CAN ALWAYS JUST DO IT THE OLD FASHIONED WAY AND HAVE ALOT OF SEX AND HOPE FOR THE BEST! LOL But for your best chances, these are the steps you need to take!!*************

~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~PLEASE REMEMBER!!!! Even a 100% healthy couple only has a 40% chance of conciving each month, so dont get discouraged if it doesnt happen right away, even if you do all the things above. Just have fun with it, and do not make sex a chore or a job, just relax and enjoy eachother, and when the time is right, you will get Pregnant!
Good luck to you and TONS OF BABY DUST YOUR WAY!!!!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

When you are not able to get pregnant, and matters appear well from the external, it may be highly irritating. The the first thing to bear in mind is how lengthy have you ever been making an attempt. About eighty% of couples gets pregnant after six months of making an attempt, and approximately ninety% can be pregnant after year of looking to get pregnant. Anyway it is a satisfactory approach to get pregnant speedy:

Have sex when you know that you're ovulating, that is the best time. Then sperm will meet the egg! Pregnancy has nothing to do with special diets or anything else, just the right timing. Unless there are fertility problems, then see a doctor.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

First of all you need to relax, trying to hard can for some silly reason cause you to have trouble conceiving. (My daughter took us 4 years from beginning until she was born, we were trying to hard) Figure out when you are ovulating and have a nice romantic dinner, enjoy the night. Maybe elevate your bottom half during and after sex for a while, don't get up and go to the bathroom right away.

Try the missionary position. That helps the sperm get closer to the clevis. Providing a higher chance of pregnancy.

I heard certain positions make it more difficult to get pregnant and some positions make it harder. You should check up on that. I hardly doubt your diet has to do with that.
