Hey, well, in the begining I didn't exactly want to scuba dive but then i thought..'what the heck' and went for it, it is really awesome...and i spoke to alot of people that get claustrophobic and they said that they don't really feel it when they in the ocean, its really beautiful, like already said, it feels as though you're flying and it's like a totally different world, it feels free, no stress etc.
Have loads of fun and good luck!
PS. the other cool thing about being a scuba diver is when people ask you what you hobbies are, and you mention scuba diving, you usually get a look of amazement and then they start asking questions.... it's really cool....lol
:-)

It's absoultely wonderful. And completely so not like a swimming pool. Your dealing with and seeing so much more. From water temperature and currents, to sandy bottums or rocks and kelp shorelines. Not to mention all the creatures and venocins of the deep. And it's way deeper.
I remember my first open water dive way back in 1974, in the Beverly / Salem Ma Harbor. And how peaceful it was, but how strenuious too if I didn't remember to relax. I was a diver for many years and have many good memorable experiences. The salt taste in my mouth, the comrodery of my dive buddies, the fresh air and antisipation waiting to make the first drop. I saw a lobster for the first time in it's natural habitiate. Go and enjoy

My husband and I have been diving for over 25 years. You will LOVE finally being able to get out in the ocean! You'll see tons of great wildlife. If your instructors are like we are, they'll know where the "fun" stuff is and will take their time so you can enjoy "playing" with the crabs and lobsters (we are in New England) I hope you have a clear day
Remember, NEVER HOLD YOUR BREATHE! Have fun and happy diving, you'll LOVE it and it will give you a whole new perspective on your world!
Watch out for the barnacles!
