I am an American, and was rooting for the U.S, but after their terrible play against the Czech Republic, realized this just wasnt their year (it seldom is) and started looking closely at other teams. After the group stage, my three favorite teams were Argentina, Germany, and Spain. Messi, Klose, and Torres have really surprised and pleased me with their electrifying style of play. I also like Portugal, as they seem to be the underdogs on the right side of the bracket. But back to Argentina. Before the tournament, I read an article about Messi in the Eurosport magazine, and thought, "Well, just another typical young superstar." I was completely wrong. He is incredible, he still has the youthful passion for the game that is typically assorted with Brazilians. Also, I think Germany has the edge in their quarterfinal because its in Germany, so I have to root for Argentina. Hopefully, they will play either Brazil or Portugal in the Final. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MESSI!!!

Damn im not from Argentina but ive always like them. Thats my team in the WC. Im glad that "Lucho" Gonzalez will be able to play after getting injured so fast in that Serbia & Montenegro game. Maybe the usual may start but they might put in sum surprises on germeny.
i think the only ones that they might change is Coloccini/Cufre/Milito in for Scaloni

sory but it will be a big upset for you, argentina can't stop the new 2006 world cup champs Germany, with Ballack, Klose and Weisterger. i wouln 't bet on argentina if i was you.
