Open the hotmail message and click download attchments, but i would be careful because alot of email forwards that have attachments also have viruses.

OK. If you are sure to trust the attachment (friend or family, etc) just save it in your selected folder that you choose. Depending on what email client you have, and also on the anti-virus system you use - if anything is classed as 'untrustworthy' the little bugger will be sorted!
It is possible to download some files which are infected from email attachments and have no problems - however - if you actually OPEN the file, it is then when the **** hits the fan, so be wary and use a PC CONDOM!

yeah, it's just like the other participant said, click on attachment and then open it. Hotmail does scan for viruses so it will tell you if it's safe.
