Well there in lies the question, doesn't it?
We, as individuals, perceive evil to be certain specific things.
We, as a society, categorize evil in order to encompass the whole.
This means that what I find evil personally you may not find evil but things society tells us are evil we agree together are evil.
The problem I think is when ppl lose sight of what they believe is evil at the individual level and adapt their personal idea of what is evil to that of society. Because society is controlled by specific groups and sometimes we need to question what we are being 'taught' is evil.
For example, I think it is absolutely evil for pharmacy companies to profit off of medications that cure the sick. That is my personal, individual belief of an example of an evil act. BUT, society does not believe this is evil and accepts it.

I think that Einstien meant that if in our mind we feel something is Evil, than it is. Evil people act on and even enjoy those evil feelings. On the other hand, a Soldier may kill for his country, but he's not being evil... in his mind he is protecting and fighting for what he loves.
Evil or not, I am probably still going to hell =(

I think Einstein meant that evil and good are judgement calls and that something could only be evil if judged evil. And to judge, you need a person.
I disagree with Einstein.

No ! what we percieve as evil is in fact just the absence of God..Like when there is no light we call it dark,The absence of light.Or what we call cold is in effect the absence of heat.So all the bad things going on around the world is not evil,it is the absence of God.We tossed him out of schools ,government ,and most all public places.

Perception is transient so whatever you perceive to be evil now may prove to be otherwise as your perception of it changes over time.

Evil does not exist. What ever you think is evil... you just don't get the big picture.

we as humans are creatures of habbit, we do not adapt well to change, as a group, i mean. something we are unframilliar with
strikes most of us with fear, we fear what we dont understand, fear then turns to aggression & confussion, so we then will focus all that negative energy towards the "unframilliar".... and what better way to descibe something we dislike, than "evil".

"Evil" is...perhaps unfortunately...in the eye of the beholder.
I perceive Dick Chaney to be evil.
George Bush disagrees.
Silly man.

evil doesnt exist by itself, we create it. whatever we perceive to be evil IS evil. If we dont perceive it to be evil, then it wont be evil after all.
